Judge Decides Not to Pursue Charges

Buchanan County Prosecuting Attorney Dwight Scroggins announced Wednesday that he will not pursue criminal charges against a St Joe doctor accused of allowing minors to possess and consume alcohol at his home. The charges stemmed from a party last month, during which investigators determined that a number of kids had been drinking. But Scroggins says the continuing investigation revealed that Dr William Humphreys had specifically warned the kids not to drink, and no alcohol was found in the home. |
