A wave of thunderstorms produced at least one tornado Wedensday night in Northwest Missouri. One twister touched down in Holt County, knocked down some trees and powerlines, then disappeared without damaging any buildings. The tornado sirens went off in St. Joseph after a spotter reported rotating clouds above Elwood. The storm led to brief power outages but no serious damage was reported.
